What SnapKnow is
SnapKnow is a free tool that uses AI vision to identify the subject of a photo and provide related information. It is an AI-powered best guess, not a definitive scientific classification.
Not expert advice
Identifications and safety notes are informational only. SnapKnow can be wrong, especially with similar-looking species. Never rely on SnapKnow alone for decisions that affect health or safety — for example whether a mushroom is edible, whether a plant or berry is poisonous, or whether an insect or spider is dangerous. Always confirm with a qualified expert before acting.
Acceptable use
- Don't upload illegal content or images you don't have the right to use.
- Don't abuse, overload, or attempt to disrupt the service.
- Don't use SnapKnow to identify or surveil people without consent.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss or harm arising from reliance on an identification.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use means you accept the current version.
